It is the middle of February, and I've got the hankering for S'Mores. Just don't expect this mama to sit by the fire pit in the freezing cold with stick in hand. What to do? Baked S'Mores!
Ingredients (the standards):
Graham Crackers
Jumbo Marshmallows
Hershey's Milk Chocolate Bars (we also used Reese's Peanut Butter Cups this time)
You know how to stack S'Mores. I don't have to show you. I should, however, suggest that you stack your sweets on a piece of tin foil. By wrapping the S'Mores individually, you're saving yourself a bit of cleanup, plus they're easier to serve.
"Like a little present," I tell Bug.
Line your little parcels on a cookie sheet, and pop them in the oven. 350 degrees until the marshmallow gets soft, about 12 minutes. Full disclosure: this time, I thought the chocolate needed to be more "melty," and kept them in for 20 minutes... too long. Mimi warned me, and I didn't listen.
And then, there's this...
Good luck and stay warm!

ooooo. i'll have to try this!
ReplyDeletethough I have to admit 75% of the smores fun for me is roasting mallows in the fire and trying to perfect the golden hue. but I also hate to be sticky. This might be a good compromise?
